More than 26,000 trade visitors and over 10,000 trade visitors on the second day alone, proved impressively the importance of the Modamont show. The international importance of this show is steadily growing according to show management, with more than 65% of foreign visitors this fall and this confirms GUNOLD“s impression of the show. According to trade fair data, primarily visitors from the EU (Germany, Great Britain, and The Netherlands) as well as from Turkey, the United States and Asia visited the show. „It was evident that buyers and designers focused even more than last year on the extraordinary, the exceptional. Our very creative summer and winter tree design inspired many to approach us“, Stephan Gunold mentioned. Furthermore, the GUNOLD display as a part of the Modamont showcase at the entrance of hall 4 sparked a vivid interest of trade show visitors in new ideas for surface designs who then felt intrigued to visit the booth.
In addition to the creative seasonal tree designs, GUNOLD presented new design books showing lots of new ideas and techniques for surface designs as well as new pattern books with conceptual designs. „Remarkable was the interest in the ideas that we presented in connection with our special embroidery threads“, Stephan Gunold states. These include: the metallic embroidery threads Mety and Glitter, the premium silk thread Silk, the loud-colored polyester embroidery thread Poly Neon, the luminous embroidery threads Solar, Fluor, Glowy, as well as the shaded colors (ombré) and multicolored shades of the SULKY color card , that were spontaneously ordered for patterning. The designers also showed their enthusiasm for the acrylic thread Filaine with that woolen, hand-made character, which is now available in 129 different colors.

The loud-colored polyester embroidery thread POLY in neon colors. POLY 40 is an extremely durable polyester thread. The luminous embroidery threads Solar, Fluor, Glowy. The initially „white“ Solar changes color when hit by ultraviolet (sun)light. The fluorescent embroidery threads Fluor und Glowy both glow in the dark. All three embroidery threads are made of 100% polyester.
