Future Graduates Enthusiastic about SCHEMA ST4

From August 7 to 9, 2013 the first SCHEMA Graduate Academy took place in the new training center of SCHEMA. Ten future technical writers and editors from all over Germany had been invited to the Nuremberg producer of the XML editing system SCHEMA ST4.

In addition to a crash course in ST4 concluded by a certificate to be added to the application documents the participants had the opportunity to gain insight into the practical workings of the company.
After three days of intensive training the concluding statement is clear. „It was obvious how proficiently the participants used SCHEMA ST4. A large part had already worked with our editing system at their respective university. Therefore the work pace was rather high and we accomplished a lot!“ reports Dieter Pichl, trainer at SCHEMA, very contentedly. At the end of the workshop around SCHEMA ST4 the participants received a certificate for their application documents. „To offer students the possibility to „see the bigger picture“ was very important to us“, explains Marcus Kesseler, CEO of SCHEMA. „The universities are certainly very good at teaching theoretical knowledge but a view of the practical side is crucial for graduates. At least they will have to apply for jobs soon.“
In addition to the ST4 workshop, information around the PageLayout Designer of SCHEMA and educational practical examples the participants of the Graduate Academy enjoyed an all-inclusive leisure program. Aside from the „intellectual stimulation“ culture and cooling was offered for the heated heads at 8° C in the „Felsengänge“ – the historic rock-cut cellars below the Nuremberg castle. The go-kart track called for competitive ambition and Franconian cooking provided culinary variety.
„We are pleased that SCHEMA ST4 is a prevalent teaching system at the universities and we were able to discuss our editing system openly and constructively. On the other hand our „protégés“ received a certificate for the attended workshop in SCHEMA ST4 to be added to their application documents and could get a taste of a medium-size company. So both sides profited from these three days together. We will offer another SCHEMA Graduate Academy next year“, says Stefan Freisler, CEO of SCHEMA, convincedly. „And are looking forward to the participants of the SCHEMA Graduate Academy in the coming year!“
