A new venue and new dates: The f-cell fuel cell forum in Stuttgart has been attracting experts from all over the world for the past eleven years. Changes are now in the making. The conference and trade fair event for producers and users of fuel cell technology will take place at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre for the first time on 8 – 10 October 2012. The international Battery+Storage trade fair and accompanying conference will also celebrate its premier at that location at the same time.
Stuttgart (eos) – Following an eleven-year solo career, the f-cell fuel cell forum, one of the largest fuel cell and hydrogen industry events in Europe, will enter into a promising alliance next year. On 8 – 10 October 2012, the f-cell symposium and trade fair will be held in conjunction with the premier presentation of the Battery+Storage conference and trade fair at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre. As an international forum focused on practical applications involving fuel cell technologies, f-cell attracts experts and decision-makers from the fields of science, engineering and business. Battery+Storage addresses experts in battery manufacturing, system integration, and energy supply as well as representatives of research institutes, service providers and the automotive industry.
„The two events augment each other,“ notes Dr. Walter Rogg, Managing Director of WRS Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH, „as many fuel-cell applications also rely on batteries as energy storage units. A number of automobile manufacturers are also developing battery-powered electric cars as well as vehicles that transform hydrogen into electricity with the aid of fuel cells.“ f-cell organizer Peter Sauber, managing director of Peter Sauber Agentur Messen und Kongresse GmbH, is certain: „By combining these two events at a single location, we are creating an unusually broad platform that will draw considerable international attention.“
The f-cell symposium will report with accustomed depth and quality on developments in fuel cell technology next year. f-cell 2012 will focus on stationary fuel cell applications. The f-cell symposium will be accompanied by a conference on battery and energy storage technologies, which will also be organized by the Peter Sauber Agency.
Directly adjacent to the conference area, the three-day f-cell and Battery+Storage trade fairs will cover the entire value chain of fuel cell and battery production while presenting recent advances in research and development.
Aside from the obvious synergy effects it promises, the decision to move from the traditional venue, the Haus der Wirtschaft to the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre, has been made for another reason as well: Over 1,000 experts from the fuel cell industry came to f-cell from all over the world in 2011. „We anticipate further growth in the numbers of both visitors and exhibitors in 2012,“ explains Peter Sauber. „And that means we will have outgrown the capacities of the Haus der Wirtschaft.“
The expanded event structures will be adapted to the new location. Individualized services provided by the Peter Sauber Agency will ensure all participants the positive atmosphere they have come to expect.
Further information on the two events will be available soon at: www.f-cell.de and www.messe-stuttgart.de .
The organizers recommend that interested companies and organizations register soon in order to secure attractive booth locations at the f-cell or Battery+Storage trade fair.
