Students work on waste management concepts and test barrier boom materials
Combine theory and practice, gain first experience in a company and master projects rich in variety. In the past semester, students from various universities of applied sciences once again took the opportunity to prove their knowledge and skills during practical projects at SKIDATA. At this international leader in access management and solutions, numerous departments such as hardware development and software development took part in these projects with students.
SKIDATA also profits from the results of this cooperation and gets to know many promising potential employees.
Students of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences develop waste management concepts for more sustainability
In contrast to many other projects at colleges and universities of applied sciences, practical projects at SKIDATA are relevant for much longer than just a semester. Oftentimes the students“ work is so good that methods or entire concepts can be directly put into practice. For example, logistics students developed a waste management concept for SKIDATA which is gradually being implemented. With this, the company headquartered in Grödig near Salzburg, Austria also takes the demand for sustainability into account.
Cross-border cooperation: the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences assists with choosing parking barrier boom material
It“s not only Austrian students who have the chance to experience software and hardware in practice. Students of the Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences in neighboring Bavaria, Germany helped the hardware department – research and development – in choosing a new material for parking barrier booms. During the semester, project participants examined material requirements and development expenses in order to then present their results.
