Now available: The new Version of the Unified Messaging Software

The version 6.40 of ixi-UMS unified messaging server is available from now on. Besides the new TTS-implementations and license conditions mainly the Look and Feel has changed: we provide the unified messaging solution in the usual estos design: After the final merge of serVonic and estos to estos in June, we consequently updated the design of the user interface on the one hand and the administration interface on the other hand“, explains Jochen Klein, Manager Knowledge Center Messaging at estos.

Furthermore, the unified messaging server now supports SAPI5 and Microsoft Speech in order to integrate TTS engines. TTS is short for Text to Speech and changes text in audio files. This enables the users to listen to their emails, faxes and short messages in addition to their voicemails with their telephones. They can also send text messages to a telephone: TTS changes the text message, so that the called person can listen to it on the telephone. Along with ixi-UMS there are TTS engines of Microsoft in German, English, American, Italic and Dutch for the Microsoft speech platform available.
ixi-UMS is a modular designed unified messaging software, which integrates the features for fax, voice and SMS in system environments such as Microsoft Exchange or IBM Domino. All kinds of messages are available for the user under the familiar interface at his PC workplace: Emails, faxes, voice and short messages. By this the user can access his email client via smartphone, tablet or pc and access, listen to and administrate all messages. With mobile phone or telephone, he can have messages read to him and handle them afterwards. The add-on solution ixi-UMS can be integrated via connectors into the appropriate messaging system. The administrator works with the familiar tools, the users can handle the new features intuitively.
