The iD-institute launches on Dec. 1st 2011 in Hongkong
The iD-institute (international design institute) will launch on December 1st, 2011 as a new transnational design directory. The platform is characterized by its information density, easy handling and well-thought-out features. The iD-institute launches first in eight countries across the globe, amongst them China, Japan and South Korea.
The iD-institute aims at linking businesses and creative professionals around the world to simplify the entry into local markets and to facilitate professional relationships. „Our goal is to connect designers and clients in such a way that will help them meet the challenges of the changing consumer personalities and communication habits“, states Regina Hanke, CEO of the iD-institute.
The iD-institute“s directory offers creative professionals an access to features such as Legal Basics or Know How. Legal Basics includes outlines for contract and licensing agreements and insights into intellectual property and contract law, supplied by our partner www.advokat.de. Additionally, in the section Know How, the platform provides a glossary of essential terms and definitions from the design sector, relevant reading lists and lecture notes.
The iD-institute also presents a exceptional service: designers are able to protect their work, ideas and innovations in a digital, personalized iD-safe, securing the work with a liable electronic time stamp. This certifies the date of the work and ensures the designer“s IP rights.
The iD-institute invites designers, design institutions and universities with a focus on design to participate. Before the actual activation, entries are curated to guarantee both quality and international standards.
The iD-institute officially launches on December 1st, 2011 during the HKTDC Inno Tech Expo (IDT Expo) in the context of the Business of Design Week (BODW) in Hong Kong. Initially, the service will be available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain, Denmark, China, Japan and South Korea. Additional countries will gradually follow.
