Just before the year-end, ibelsa has carried out a major update. ibelsa.rooms, the hotel-management software made in Germany, responds to the latest customer demands.

„ibelsa.rooms is constantly being developed in accordance with customer demands“ explains ibelsa CEO Patrick Schulte. „We concentrate on those areas, where we have the most requests and proposals. The suggestions that our clients make, provide the basis for our development packages, which are then integrated in the updates.
The latest update of ibelsa.rooms is now online – automatically and free of charge it is available to all customers. We have taken into account all requirements that are essential for many hoteliers to enhance their workflow.
One of the new features is the reservation number which can be found in the cockpit, and will be displayed in the different lists as well as in the sidebar of the reservation screen. You can now search either by reservation date or reservation number.
Another feature is the improvement of the invoice management – client and company invoice details. Address modifications are now possible with just one click. Now check-ins and check-outs are processed quicker.
During the reservation procedure, you now also have the option to enter an individual text which will only appear on this specific client invoice.
Each room reservation provides instant information on the “ no show “ or „check-out“ status of a guest.
We have visually enhanced our filling widget, which now indicates by colour code if notes/tasks exist and/or if the status is important.
If a guest changes the room during his stay, the booking can be split with just a click. A room can be selected for the first day/s and another room for the following days (e.g the guest’s favourite room).
Another new feature is the free entry of the booking source. Previously you could only choose the booking source from a pre-defined list, now you also have the option of free manual input.
Now it is also possible to copy reservations to generate a group booking. It has never been easier to make a group reservation: to copy a reservation simply enter the required number of copies into the pop-up window and then enter the room numbers.

Other changes can be seen in the following functions:
– The connection key to the Chayns® App for mobile booking in the native app is located under „My Hotel / web booking“.
– In addition to VAT some countries/regions charge a municipal tax. This additional tax can be defined within the tax classes and can then be added to all products assigned to this tax class. O
The present update of ibelsa.rooms was accomplished in close co-operation with the ibelsa-Team of programmers, IT- and Hotel-experts and in accordance with customer demands. All ibelsa users have access to this update, which is available in eight languages. No resetting is required, as the changes will be activated when starting the programme.
