Embroidery Threads Conquer the (Decorative) Seam: Specialty Threads from GUNOLD inspire Designers

Once again for three days, Munich was the hub for designers, buyers and product managers gathering information about new trends for the 2015 spring/summer season at the Munich Fabric Start from February 4-6, 2014. And it was a repeat participation for GUNOLD, GmbH who presented lots of fresh ideas all around the topic of embroidery threads. Looki
ng at their designs, ideas and pattern books, dotted with embroideries, laser appliques and decorative seams, quite a few designer hearts skipped a beat.

Especially smaller fashion labels were on the lookout for that special eye-catcher. Here the latest fashion trend in general: decorative seams, stitched with specialty threads, which are predominantly used in embroidery. „The designers were looking for creative input and ideas and they found both at our booth“, Stephan Gunold, Head of Marketing, explains. „In Munich we just hit the mark with our new pattern books since we presented multifaceted ideas for each and every taste and situation. For several seasons now designers have had the opportunity to receive pattern books and drafts of various exceptional surface designs as .pdf documents free of charge. And word of this and other helpful services this renowned company, based in Stockstadt/Main, provides, has got around to creative people. Gunold not only offers premium embroidery supplies but also includes tips on how to work with all of their products and explains how the choice of embroidery supplies may affect the look of an embroidery design. Gunold offers a wide range of embroidery threads, embroidery backings, specialty fabrics and accessories to spark the interest of designers for the most stunning way of textile finishing.

Highlight: Decorative Seams

Currently, all kinds of decorative seams are an important trend in the fashion industry. For this purpose GUNOLD offers in addition to the premium viscose thread SULKY made of 100% ENKA viscose, a wide range of specialty threads like METY, GLITTER, SOLAR, GLOWY and FLUOR. METY is a premium metallic thread for brilliant, shimmering effects, which comes in glamorous gold and silver shades as well as in 30 gleaming colored shades.
Glitter completes the range of metallic threads, an untwisted foil thread that is available in golden, silver, red, green and multicolor shades.
The specialty thread SOLAR shows its true color when exposed to sunlight. The initially „white“ SOLAR changes color when hit by ultraviolet (sun)light. The fluorescent embroidery threads Fluor und Glowy both store sunlight and artificial light and then glow in the dark. The long-lasting luminosity is ideal for logos and letterings.
Additional product highlights that are also ideal for for seams include the premium silk embroidery thread SILK made of 100% silk and the loud-colored polyester embroidery thread POLY in neon colors.
The premium thread SILK has all the features silk is known for -smooth and classy, not forgetting the cool luxurious feel of silk.
The loud-colored polyester embroidery thread POLY in neon colors is an extremely durable polyester thread.
