tde – trans data elektronik provides passive network infrastructure and structured cabling as prime contractor
Dortmund, 07 November 2013. tde – trans data elektronik GmbH function increasingly as a prime contractor and as a manufacturer provide their customers with the entire service range of structured cabling from planning to installing the passive network infrastructure for data centres. Companies profit from short planning times, reserve capacities for further expansions and individually tailored solutions. The complete service package offered by the premium manufacturer and technology leader also includes the precise determination of cable length required for the network: this, in combination with the plug-and-play cable systems tML and tSML, ensures a tidy cable routing without excess cable length. tde’s own highly qualified personnel or certified partners carry out and supervise the installation process to make sure that the network infrastructure meets the performance needs of high-rate data transfer and high availability. Subsequent expansion projects are quickly implemented.
As prime contractor tde – trans data elektronik plans and installs the passive network infrastructure for data centres and also takes on these tasks to provide cable systems for the entire building. „We have experienced an increasing customer demand for our cable systems offered together with installation services“, André Engel, tde’s CEO explains. „Until now we have been able to implement many projects where we provided the complete service package ranging from the planning to the installation process.“
Companies can enormously profit from involving tde right from the start: due to their outstanding expertise of their own cabling systems tde can closely coordinate and cooperate with the customers. This way, reserve capacities for future expansion projects and migration paths for an increased transmission rate can already be considered in the planning stage. Since tde in particular specialises in space saving, fire load reducing cable management individual solutions have in the past turned into new products.
The tde package also includes the precise determination of cable length. This is decisive in combination with the plug-and-play cabling system tML, comprising module, trunk cable and module rack, as well as with the semi-modular tSML since this ensures a tidy cable route without excess cable length.
For this purpose, tde experts use lasers to determine the exact key facts on site. With the help of tde’s own tools the final length can subsequently be determined almost automatically on the computer. „Our experience shows that customers add several metres out of fear, which then results in excess cable length“, André Engel explains and adds: „This can have negative effects on the air-conditioning in the data centre.“ And this is where tde comes in: In precisely determining the cable length tde exactly calculates the working figures for the cabling therewith highlighting the space-saving advantages of the plug-and-play system.
Since tde personnel or certified partners implement and supervise the installation, tde ensures that the network infrastructure meets the performance demands of high transmission rates and high availability. More than 22 years of experience as well as tde’s product range exclusively „Made in Germany“ contribute to the success. Further expansion projects can be quickly implemented since tde are already familiar with the company’s specifics on site.
tde – trans data elektronik GmbH is an internationally successful company, which has specialised in the development and manufacture of scalable cabling systems for highest packing density for more than 20 years. Amongst others, the European Organization for Nuclear Research CERN relies on the competence and know-how of tdeꞌs technology-leadership in the multi-fiber-technology. The product range „Made in Germany“ includes system solutions focused on Plug&Play for various fields such as Datacom, Telecom, Industry and Defence. As a full-system provider tde offers the entire range of services from planning to installation from one source and supports the Code of Conduct for energy efficiency in data centers, an initiative of the European Commission.
