High profile meeting of decision makers targeting the growing Algerian energy sector
Quite in step with the „Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program“ of March 2011, the Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mines confirms the participation of its renewable energy department at the 6th electro, automation & energy 2012. Numerous market leaders from 10 countries already confirmed their participation as well as the national institutions NEAL and APRUE. Algeria“s leading international trade show in this sector is organized by the trade fair specialists from fairtrade Messe and its algero-german team. The exhibition will be held in Algiers from 5 to 8 May, 2012 at the Palais des Expositions d’Alger – Safex.
According to Algeria“s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program of March 2011 published by the Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mines, 22,000 MW of power generating capacity shall be installed from renewable sources until 2030. To reach this ambitious target, exhibiting international market leaders like ABB, Centrotherm, Eurosol, Siemens or WEG are realizing large scale investments in the Algerian energy market. Agreements amounting to billions of Euros were signed during the past year with Sonelgaz. „Algeria aims to be a major actor in the production of electricity from photovoltaic and solar power as it considers this source of energy as an opportunity and a lever for economic and social development, particularly through the establishment of wealth and job-creating industries,“ says Kahina Behloul, Manager with Eurl fairtrade expo.
Algeria“s 6th International Trade Fair on Renewable and Conventional Energy, Energy Efficiency, Electrical Engineering, Lighting and Automation will be accompanied by conferences on renewables and on energy efficiency. „The Renewable Energy Program: Investment opportunities“ is the topic on 6th May. One day later the participants will discuss about: „The Energy Efficiency Program: Better controlling for better production“. On both days the conferences benefit from the support of the Renewable Energy Department of the Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mines. Further value is added by the active participation of Sonelgaz, NEAL-New Energy Algeria and APRUE-The Algerian National Agency for the Promotion and Rationalization of the Use of.
