tde: Always One Step Ahead for 25 Years
Dortmund/Germany, 9 November 2016. tde – trans data elektronik GmbH is celebrating its 25th company anniversary: the network specialist has been developing and manufacturing scalable cabling systems for maximum packing density since 1991. Renowned companies and institutions from areas such as datacom, telecom, industry, medical and defence, including the nuclear research centre CERN, have trusted in the expertise of the market leader in MPO multi-fibre technology for years. The company“s extremely high-quality product portfolio includes a range of copper and fibre optic cable products, matching connection and splicing systems as well as Plug & Play compatible system solutions for development, installation and service. tde exclusively produces in Germany and owns one of the most modern fibre optic cable assembly facilities in Europe. The company is active in standardization committees and the international committee CENELEC and also supports the „European Code of Conduct“ for energy efficiency in data centres. Recently, tde used the occasion of its 25th anniversary to move into its new sales office in Dortmund, which has been renovated to adhere to the state-of-the-art criteria of energy efficiency.
The highest quality has been tde“s standard for 25 years now: „Our products and services have always been exemplary in regards to quality and customer value – and it will stay that way,“ says Andre Engel, CEO at tde. „With our years of expertise as network specialists, we have now taken the leading position in the market. Our successful road shows and our many projects with distinguished partners – including CERN – are proof of that,“ he continues. „In the future, we will continue to focus on building trust by providing high quality and, as a result, win new customers and remain successful in the long term.“
Innovations „Made in Germany“
Starting with the foundation of the company in 1991, tde has been demonstrating the innovative capabilities of its portfolio: In 2014, the network expert introduced investment-protecting and highly flexible cabling systems for quick and easy migration up to 100 G, including the tML Xtended System and the revolutionary tML 24 System. With the tML 24 System, the packing density of the connection technology was significantly increased and the cable volume notably reduced. Network technicians now only need to install half as many cables and connectors compared to previous solutions. The packing density is unique for migration up to 40/100 GbE: Since 96 MPO ports can be realized in one height unit, up to 2304 fibres can be used when fully equipping the tML 24 System.
Through many years of success and via countless reference projects, the system solution tBL – tde Basic Link has proved its worth for traditional network cabling, as have the modular and semi-modular Plug-and-Play cabling platforms tML – tde Modular Link and tSML – tde Semi Modular Link.
tde“s know-how in the field of MPO multi-fibre technology is impressive: Due to the company“s specially modified manufacturing process, the MPO connector is capable of exceptional performances, which makes it even more valuable to fields with high availability.
Systematic Quality Management for High Quality Standards
The fibre optic and copper cable applications are produced by tde itself and manufactured in their state-of-the-art production site in Germany. Only 100% top quality is good enough for the network expert, who continually improves the manufacturing processes. Their high quality products have also been available in the tde-owned B-to-B shop since 2015.
tde-Roadshow as industry highlight
tde is active in standardisation committees for fibre optic connection technology and passive optical components DKW/UK412.7 and in the international committee CENELEC TC 86BXA/WG 01. tde was the first German company to reach the TL9000 standard in 2002, a special certification for the telecommunications industry and is also ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified. The Code of Conduct plays a special role for the company: As one of few manufacturers, tde was admitted to the small circle of the Code of Conduct endorsers for data centres in 2011. That is one of the reasons why tde promotes the establishment of „green“ data centres. Together with distinguished technology partners, tde has been regularly on tour visiting many large German cities with its roadshow on the subject of „Network (R)evolution“.
„In the past years we have celebrated a series of milestones concerning our products as well as our services and our public image,“ says Andre Engel, pleased. „It befits the 25th anniversary of our company that we recently moved into our newly renovated sales office. Of course we renovated and furnished it following state-of-the-art criteria for energy efficiency – beginning with the wiring with tde“s own network components and ending with LED light fixtures. And we were able to preserve the building“s turn of the century charm as well, despite the modernisations.“
