Process Automation Controller achieve innovative interface communication between the Office Floor (ERP / MES level) and the Shop Floor level. How that works znt-Richter will show you at Digital Factory 2016
znt-Richter, Munich, exhibits again at the Hannover Messe. This year, as a guest at the VDMA booth in Hall 7, E18. The focus of this year’s trade fair again is PAC, znt-Richter“s own Process Automation Controller. This powerful open platform for vertical and horizontal integration of machinery and equipment into the enterprise IT forms an important link between the Shop Floor and the Office Floor. Since these sections usually have a different time response and different syntax, a unifying platform for continuous communication is required.
One special feature of PAC is that the platform acts as a buffer. It relieves the systems on the Office Floor of, for machines typical automation processes, and reduces therefore the functional complexity. Further it transforms the protocols and semantics of all connected interfaces, thus already creating a point to point communication between all systems as demanded by Industrie 4.0. The PAC also ensures intelligent distribution of the extensive data from the Shop Floor, as not every Office Floor System requires all data. It aggregates, sorts and distributes.
The functionality of PAC goes far beyond the typical tasks of operating and machine data acquisition. „To thoroughly and effectively introduce ourselves and our PAC in the field we will be present at the Digital Factory at the Hannover Messe again. This enables us to bring the benefits and advantages of the inexpensive but effective equipment integration platform PAC closer to the general public.“ Paul Riedl of znt-Richter explains.
znt-Richter has more than 25 years of experience in the production environment. Quite a number of people know the company founded by Prof. Dr. Richter primarily from the semiconductor industry. For many years, however, the company established itself as a solution provider active in other sectors, too. „Our know-how can profitably be brought to use for our customers in a number of other industries, such as i.e. the field of mechanical engineering, the medical device industry and electronics.“ Paul Riedl continuous.
The znt-Richter group can look back on many years of experience in the field of automation and the MES market. The technology company implements specially tailored solutions for its clients based on their own products and products from partners.
