Successful with team spirit: even outside of hardware development and software development
In June, one athletic highlight follows the next: the Champions League final in Berlin, the major FIFA women´s soccer event in Canada and the Grand Prix in Zeltweg are just a few major sporting events that will be causing a stir in the near future. Our staff´s many sporting successes large and small prove that it does not always have to be a major international sporting event to cause some excitement at SKIDATA.
Participation record at the 2015 Salzburg Business Run
Preparations are already underway for this year“s Salzburg Business Run in the fall – this year with 60 registered participants from SKIDATA´s workforce, more than ever before. At the Salzburg Business Triathlon on May 29, 2015 our team came in remarkable 76th place out of 180 teams. This is particularly noteworthy since the swimmer stood in for another colleague at short notice. Christoph Ritzberger from SKIDATA service management is always in on the action whether at races, triathlons or soccer competitions. „I really like that participation in company sporting events is supported and promoted by the company. At such events you can meet other colleagues from different departments and the team spirit is strengthened,“ says Christoph. Colleagues from Klagenfurt have also shown their athletic side and participated in the Carinthia Business Run.
Bike to work at the headquarters come rain or shine
Salzburg and its surroundings are well known for their perfectly constructed network of bike paths. So it´s no wonder that many SKIDATA employees commute to work on two wheels. The headquarters in Grödig near Salzburg are not only easily reached by bike, but also enjoy a quaint location at the foot of the Untersberg mountain. A mountain bike, however, is not necessary: the area surrounding Grödig is pleasantly flat. Again this year we are taking part in the „wer radelt gewinnt“ („those who bike win“) initiative carried out by Climate Alliance Salzburg. This promotion motivates employees to ride their bike to work. This helps protect the environment and at the same time makes an important contribution to participants´ health.
