Agritechnica 2015: Systems & Components, a professional platform for suppliers, based on an international, cross-sector concept
Frankfurt/Main – (DLG). An international platform for the latest systems, modules, components and accessories for agricultural engineering and related industries will be provided again this year at Agritechnica, the world“s largest trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment, in its special „Systems & Components“ area.
It will include a novel three-part programme – Future Farming for forward-thinking, sustainable agriculture – divided into „Pathways“, „Forum“ and „Special Show“. This will focus on efficiency, reliability, safety and environmental protection in all areas. Visitors will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the latest developments in engines, hydraulics, axles, drive engineering, cabins, electronics and spare parts, as well as the corresponding software at the trade fair in Hanover from 10 to 14 November 2015 (exclusive days on 8 and 9 November).
A lounge dedicated to Systems & Components will illustrate the mutual networking of farmer – supplier – production/industry and offer an industry solution implementing the issue of „Future Farming“ practically and aimed at the end customer. The Special Show will be based on the issues of industrial engineering, supply chain management, flexible manufacturing, individual production, intelligent maintenance management, networked production, self-organised adaptive logistics and customer integrated engineering.
At the same time, this innovative platform will provide opportunities for industry experts to meet each other, hold meetings and exchange business contacts.
Supplier industry: strong driver of innovation and solution provider
The supplier industry, in particular, will be presenting itself at Agritechnica as a strong driver of innovation and solution provider for the agricultural machinery. Machinery from the agricultural sector and its components has developed into highly complex units. The optimal design and coordination of mechanical, hydraulic and electro-technical components and their networking plays an essential role in the reliability of the machinery – and Agritechnica“s display will show how a holistic approach in agriculture increasingly requires a close exchange between everyone involved within the value creation chain.
A scenario will be set up in a lounge specially set up for Systems & Components simulating the mutual networking of farmer – supplier – production/industry. An industry solution implementing the issue of „Future Farming“ practically and oriented on the end customer. In this connection, the Special Show is based on the issues of industrial engineering, supply chain management, flexible manufacturing, individual production, intelligent maintenance management, networked production, self-organised adaptive logistics and customer integrated engineering.
„Match & Meet“
Exhibitors and visitors to the trade fair this year will be able to use a free-of-charge online business contact exchange to develop international business contacts. „Match & Meet“ will be available as a service on the Agritechnica website from September 2015.
Two years ago, around 2,900 exhibitors from 47 countries took part in Agritechnica. A total of 448,912 trade visitors, including 100,000 from the purchasing, procurement and from research and development sectors, found out about new and further developments in agricultural engineering in Hanover.

About Systems & Components
Systems & Components was first established as an independent area under the umbrella of the world“s largest agricultural trade fair, Agritechnica, in 2013. Systems & Components offers suppliers an international professional platform to present systems, modules and components for the agricultural engineering industry and related industrial sectors. The first Agritechnica was held in 1985, and then every two years in Frankfurt. The world“s leading trade fair for agricultural engineering has been held in Hanover since 1995.
The organiser, DLG e. V. (Deutsche Landwirtschaft-Gesellschaft, or German Agricultural Society), based in Frankfurt am Main, was founded by the engineer and writer Max Eyth in 1885 and numbers over 26,000 members today. The independent DLG promotes exchanges of knowledge and shapes opinion as an open forum. Over 200 full time employees and more than 3,000 voluntary experts work out solutions for the agricultural and food sectors. The DLG“s well-known test centre for technology and equipment, which is the largest of its kind in the world, is accredited and notified nationally and internationally.
The DLG has organised trade exhibitions in the agricultural and food sectors for over 125 years. The best known leading trade fairs apart from Agritechnica include EuroTier, EnergyDecentral and, with Kölnmesse, Anuga FoodTec.
