Heraeus expert knowledge and products at Nitrogen + Syngas 2014, Paris

Heraeus will be attending Nitrogen + Syngas Conference 2014 and reporting about the importance of catalyst gauzes and secondary catalysts in the chemical industry.

The chemical industry will host Nitrogen + Syngas 2014 in Paris, an international conference and technical event at which Heraeus will be announcing new aspects of technological development and presenting its products. From February 24-27th, the precious metal and technology group, based in Germany, will be displaying catalytic gauzes, secondary catalysts and corresponding service features.

Oliver Henkes – Heraeus Senior Manager Application Engineer Catalytic Technology – will be presenting the company“s technical service portfolio for nitric acid plants.

Background Information
As a globally active specialist, Heraeus produces e.g. platinum gauzes which are used as catalysts in the production of nitric acid. Nitric acid plays an essential role, especially in the production of fertilizers. The catalytic gauzes, based on precious metals, have been optimized in a long development process to gain higher amounts of acid. The unwanted by-products arising from the production process can thereby be almost completely eliminated.
