Frankfurt, October 25th, 2013 – AIRTEC, one of the world-wide most important aerospace supply fairs will make the experts in the industry and the interested public at the beginning of November very enthusiastic. The mixture of innovation, information and discussions makes AIRTEC to one of the leading international supply fairs and a unique technological meeting-place. The heart of this trade fair is the B2B-meetings, where the exhibitors meet at their booths highly qualified international experts from procurement, supply chain management, sourcing, technology, research and development from OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), engine manufacturers and system suppliers for business talks.
AIRTEC 2013 will be inaugurated on November 5th, 2013 by the CEO of the company group DEMAT-airtec and the official opening speaker, Dr Sven Halldorn, Director General for Technology Policy in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, Germany. Exhibitors from 26 nations present new technical and economical solutions for the aerospace industry. The great number of nations represented by pavilions and joint stands is remarkable at this year“s AIRTEC. AIRTEC 2013 gives to the visitor a complete overview of the entire aerospace supply chain: „From design, engineering, testing to simulation and materials, production up to components, systems, electronics and sensors as well as life cycle support.“
Highlights of the 230 presentations at the international Congress AIRTEC 2013
With the highly renowned keynote speakers, Dr Terry Wohlers, Greg Morris, Ralph Resnick and Dr Claudio Dalle Donne the dynamic organizers of AIRTEC were able to receive one of the highly qualified and world-wide renowned experts for the topic additive manufacturing in the aerospace industry. This circle of experts is leading in this future-oriented and very promising technology for the aerospace industry. Tool parts, which are not any more manufactured in a conventional way, but with 3-D print processes are currently also conquering the aerospace industry. At AIRTEC these experts will report what is the current state of the art and what can be achieved already tomorrow.
Norbert Schröder from SPACE Germany will explain at the Aerospace Supply Chain Summit, how he himself and his colleagues work ordered by AIRBUS, to create the co-operation between the numerous medium-sized suppliers and the OEM more efficient and more effective. In his lecture Norbert Schröder explains the specific challenges of AIRBUS to the supply chain.
For the first time the research and development summit will be held. At the meeting two essential main questions will be discussed, „Future Aircraft Design“ and „Composites“ with the focus on „Composites“: What possibilities there are to increase the number of parts in production and at the same time to reduce its costs. The topic of UAV World (unmanned aerial vehicle) this year is mainly the up-coming booming topic „civil use of unmanned aerial vehicles and the permission to fly in the European Sky. Keyword: „Euro Hawk“. For the use of unmanned airborne systems in the armed forces from today and tomorrow the General Inspector of the air force has confirmed two highly qualified presentations. In addition, this year the international conference Aerospace Sensors has been extended by Aerospace Testing. One of the big important topics are sensors and tests all around the topic „Navigation“ – these topics complete one full conference day.
A special highlight in the international Space Conference „SPACE World“ is the key note speech by Dr Gerd Gruppe, member of the Executive Board of the DLR German Aerospace Center. He will hold a highly informative lecture concerning the current topics of the space agency. General Harald Borst will hold a lecture what kind of task the army will solve in future years via satellites. In addition, highly qualified lectures from ArianeSpace, ESA, the European Commission and Astrium will be held. The lecture by the Brigade General Alfons Mais will make the audience at HELI World 2013 really enthusiastic. Like rarely nobody else he has collected many experiences with the use of helicopters.
