Software Developers, IT Technicians and Communications Technicians in Salzburg
At SKIDATA, an international market leader for access solutions and management, women have the best conditions for careers in the technical field. Stefanie and Sarah are perfect examples of how easy it is for women to move up in their career at SKIDATA. Steffi first completed an apprenticeship in communication technology from 2005 to 2008. Afterwards, she was hired as a second-level support engineer in International Service and Parking Management and after successfully passing her university entrance exams, has studied at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences since the fall of 2012. Sarah began her career at SKIDATA in Grödig near Salzburg with training to become an IT technician in informatics and now mainly takes care of web development in the IT infrastructure department.
Glass Ceiling? Not at SKIDATA: Sabrina and Angelica Explain
Information technicians Sabrina and Angelica agree: there is no macho atmosphere at SKIDATA – it is actually quite the opposite! Both women feel very comfortable at SKIDATA, appreciate the working climate, their various tasks and responsibilities and enjoy taking on the new challenges they face. The IT specialists recently visited workshops regarding cloud computing and human-computer interaction as part of the Dictat Women“s IT Studies in Salzburg. Now they are looking forward to putting their newly acquired knowledge to use in their daily work in software and hardware development. Sabrina and Angelica wish that more young women would take the opportunity to work in IT and choose training or studies in technology.
