The new AZ SR131 series by ZETTLER

Munich, Germany, April 24th, 2017 – ZETTLER electronics, a manufacturer and distributor of electromagnetic and electronic components, introduces its new AZ SR131 series. The miniature power solar relays are capable of switching up to 35 A at 277 VAC. Coil voltages range from 5 up to 48 VDC. The relay is designed for the use in solar inverter applications according IEC 62109 but can be used in many other applications as well.

The dielectric strength is 4.5 kV between coil/contact. The relays are able to withstand 10 kV surge impulse. In the standard version the AZ SR131 has a contact gap of 1.8 mm and a dielectric strength of 2.5 kV between open contacts. A wide contact gap version (2.3 mm) is also available, with dielectric strength of 3.5 kV between open contacts.

The electric life expectancy is specified with 30,000 cycles at 35 A 277 VAC at an ambient temperature up to 85°C. The relays are available with silver tin oxide SPST-N.O. (1 Form A) contacts. Class F insulation (155° C) is standard.

The AZ SR131 power relays meet RoHS, REACH as well as IEC 61810-1 for the use in low voltage equipment and UL 508 for industrial control panels. Versions compliant to IEC-60335-1 (GWT-Glow Wire Testing) for household appliances are also available.

Munich, Germany, March 6th, 2017 – The ZETTLER electronics GmbH, a manufacturer and distributor of electromagnetic and electronic components, introduces its new AZ 6960 relay series. Housed in a low profile package with a height of 12,5 mm, the sensitive subminiature power relay guarantees a creepage and clearance distance of 8 mm as well as basic insulation according to IEC 60664-1.

A 5kV coil-contact dielectric strength and a 1kV dielectric strength between open contacts ensure that the AZ 6960 is robust enough for even highly susceptible applications. Contact ratings for resistive loads are 2,000 VA or 320 W for maximum switched power, 8 Amp for maximum switched current and 24 VDC or 250/400 VAC for maximum switched voltage. Coil voltages range from 5 up to 60 VDC.

It meets IEC 61810-1 for incorporation into low voltage equipment, IEC-60335-1 for household appliances as well as UL 508 for industrial control panels. Contacts are available in silver nickel, silver tin oxide and gold plating for high performance and reliability. Additionally, the relay is available in an epoxy sealed version for automatic wave soldering and cleaning allowing reliable usage in demanding environments.

Aachen, May 2016. The ecoDMS software from Aachen is among the most popular archiving systems in the German-speaking world. The state-of-the-art technology of the software and a fair sales model are unique in the DMS sector. The client-server system is ideal for a large target group because of its full scalability and platform independence. This makes ecoDMS an attractive solution for resellers to broaden their portfolio. About 220 resellers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland are already offering this archiving system to their customers. This includes more than 50 certified Qualified Premium Resellers.

Specialist retailers, vendors and service providers in the IT and software industry can participate in the ecoDMS reseller programme and receive the partner logo as a quality label. Since April 2016, ecoDMS has more than 50 successfully certified qualified premium resellers. They have successfully completed the ecoDMS partner training course and are the perfect local points of contact for anyone interested in ecoDMS. The aim is to provide a qualified DMS turnkey solution for the end customer: From service-oriented consulting to the installation and provision of the matching hard- and software components, and professional systems integration and set-up with ensuing user training.

To become a certified partner and receive the status of Qualified Premium Reseller, a vendor must participate in a dedicated, payable certification training at ecoDMS GmbH. During this 2-day training course the prospective partners are prepared for selling „ecoDMS“. Participants will learn all necessary information about sales, service, installation, setup and operation in theory and with practical examples. Training will take place on site at applord Holding Europe GmbH in Aachen. All necessary training documentation including hardware is supplied. Following successful participation, the partner company receives the official ecoDMS Qualified Premium Reseller logo, including a certificate and a detailed entry in the exclusive QPR search on the ecoDMS website. Resellers are free to publish and link the QPR logo. Verifying the link is the easiest and simplest way for potential customers to check the authenticity of the certificate. Vendors will receive the status of „Qualified Premium Reseller“ for at least one year and at most for the running period of the current Major release. ecoDMS GmbH will provide vendors with an NFR licence of the ecoDMS full version, consisting of three licences and a „Support Package Mini“ to enable them to best present and also test the software. Furthermore, all QPRs will receive client protection for each of the clients to whom they have sold a licence, as well as leads from their region, for the entire term. Moreover, ecoDMS issues a QPR discount code for the ecoDMS online shop to allow vendors to purchase ecoDMS products with integrated customer protection at wholesale prices. For the best possible care, partners will also have access to their personal ecoDMS reseller coordinator, who will answer all sales-related questions.

To obtain a simple „Reseller Status“, it is sufficient to register via the respective form in the partner area of the ecoDMS website. The publication of a backlink and product information about ecoDMS on the company website is a minimum requirement for the official activation of the account and the participation in the free reseller programme. The ultraturn MC is installed deep in the ground

On a customer day, GEORG introduced the new Machining Center „ultraturn MC“ to manufacturing experts. More than 80 specialists of large part manufacturers came to Kreuztal to witness the premier of the new machine, which is able to handle workpieces from 12 up to 250 tons. The ultraturn MC offers plenty of innovations, which combine highest precision during the machining process with optimum productivity and flexibility. For such large-size parts, the machine reduces the manufacturing time by up to 40 per cent. The integrated 2-point-workpiece measuring system as well as the complete machine enclosure set new standards.

GEORG has developed the new Horizontal Machining Center ultraturn MC for complete machining of workpieces with diameters of 1.100 up to 4.000 mm and almost any length. The center width of the system introduced during the customer day is 10.000 mm. The machine will soon be delivered to its German customer, two more Machining Centers have been ordered by companies in Russia and the Czech Republic.

The ultraturn MC is designed for the machining of complex, heavy workpieces, e.g. for heavy forged parts, rolls, turbines, motor and generator shafts as well as for compressors or pumps for the oil and gas industry. Internal machining of components, such as turning-milling machining or processing of complex inside contours, which are not parallel to the workpiece center line is one of the main characteristics.

New in this range: One machine replaces several others

The ultraturn MC saves a lot of production time since the complete machining, e.g. turning, drilling, milling or grinding and also the measuring is carried out on the same machine. There are no more time-consuming transports between different machines necessary so far as well as associated waiting and set-up times.

By implementing different work steps on one machine, the ultraturn MC not only reduces the production time but also the transport risks of the complex and expensive workpieces. The result: significantly increased and ensured quality of the finished workpieces as well as optimized production planning and scheduling.

Highest productivity with short downtimes and set-up times is the main focus of the new concept. All tool changing processes are carried out automatically, which is a novelty for machines of this size. The tools are stored in the so called tool arena and changed via a six-axis robot which is moving together with the machining unit. This results in minimum access and processing times. Also, the attachment heads in the pick-up magazine are changed automatically and within shortest time.

The machine achieves highest precision due to the 2.000 mm wide machine beds, the hydrostatic guideways of all linear axes and backlash-free NC-controlled drives.

GEORG offers the ultraturn MC in several versions with center widths up to 25.000 mm. The machine presented during the customer day has a center width of 10.000 mm. On the carriage side in S1-operation, the center achieves a milling performance of up to 94 kW and a torque of max. 7.000 Nm directly at the spindle. The carriage is equipped with a hydrostatic guided RAM with a cross section of 700 x 550 mm and a travel distance of 1.600 mm.

New: Machining and measuring without reclamping

With the ultraturn MC GEORG includes the quality control in the production process which is new in the area of large parts machining. The ultraturn MC is the first machining center worldwide, which is not only using a single probe. The moving 2-point workpiece measuring system installed at the milling tower acts like a big micrometer gauge with two probes and measures the workpieces directly at the machine with highest precision. While the measuring of large diameters up to 2.000 mm in measuring machines takes several hours, the integrated GEORG system requires only a few minutes.

New: Complete housing

Also the complete machine enclosure with integrated oil mist removal system is new for exceptionally big machining centers: Nearly no oil mist will exhaust into the shop. Furthermore, the ultraturn MC requires very little space because the enclosure covers the workpiece and the machine itself very tight. The complete machine is mounted deep in the ground so that all components are accessible without steps.

At the occasion of a customer day Georg presented its new roll grinding machine type ultragrind 700 R to an experienced audience. The new machine is designed for center lengths of 5.000 mm, grinding diameters of up to 700 mm and roll weights up to 10 tons. The machine works fully automatically and impresses by its high grinding qualities in conventional and CBN grinding. Due to many special design solutions, its very solid structure and innovative measuring technologies the machine achieves highest precision and at the same time shortest setting and machining cycles.

More than 70 experts from roll grinding shops of leading steel and aluminium producers as well as experts from roll manufacturers and engineering offices came to see the machine in „live“ operation prior to dispatch to the customer Baosteel, China. At first Georg demonstrated the grinding of a work roll in the conventional way and later in CBN technology. In addition Georg displayed a HSS work roll of a hot rolling mill with CVC profile and a profile height of 1,85 mm that had been ground before with a CBN disc.

During the demonstrations the visitors could inspect the high quality of the machine. Everyone was impressed by the perfect surface quality of the ground rolls, neither comma nor feed marks could be detected. They confirmed that whilst the grinding operations took place no vibrations or swing motions of the machine could be felt and that the machine was running very smooth; this applies to the conventional and to the CBN grinding method as well.

A number of design measures enable Georg to reach excellent grinding results, short handling and machining cycles as well as a long lifetime of the machine. Just to mention the headstock that can be displaced as a whole with fixed main axis and displaceable counter part, the hydrostatic bearing of the grinding spindle and the grinding carriage, the very precise U-axis with a resolution of 0,01 µm, the U1-axis for exact horizontal roll alignment and finally the complete equipment of measuring and control techniques.

Several presentations completed the program of the customer day. Dr. Severin Hannig, MD of planlauf GmbH, Aachen presented new methods for design calcuations and simulations of machine tools, that Georg had applied for the new machine. Hannes Moser (Tyrolit Schleifmittelwerk) and Gerrit Burkhard (Theleico Schleiftechnik) spoke about the optimum usage of grinding discs. Both of them reported about the application of CBN grinding discs, which inspite of higher investment costs may be even more economical when grinding HSS rolls.

The UV 400 and UVR 400 are in a unique position to help manufacturers using MOCVD improve efficiency and reduce waste in their LED manufacturing process.

Using a center wavelength in the UV spectrum (400 nm) these pyrometers make it possible to measure real wafer surface temperature, while traditional pyrometers are only able to measure the susceptor/pocket temperature under the wafer. This allows the most accurate and repeatable control of the wafer temperature which e. g. in LED production is critical to the final product wavelength and manufacturing yields. The wide temperature range of 650 to 1300 °C allows for measurement of various applications such as GaN buffer layer growth or multiple quantum well growth. The fast response time of up to 8 ms allows the measurement of fast processes. True photon-counting instrumentation guarantees the best achievable signal to noise ratio and stability. In addition to the UV 400 pyrometer, the UVR 400 features a 635 nm laser reflectometer, which enables the real-time measurement of the thickness and growth rate of the GaN layer (gallium nitride) during epitaxy growth.

The LumaSense UV 400 and UVR 400 temperature sensors are developed specifically for GaN-based MOCVD epitaxy processes offering the following features: direct temperature measurement on the GaN layer using UV wavelength instrumentation to obtain reliable wafer temperature with PL wavelength correlation, capturing real time reflectance measurement using a fast pulsing light source, prevention of data skew due to delayed sampling (no shutter on and off) and residue temperature oscillation as seen in NIR emissivity-compensated pyrometers, minimization of noise in measurement using true photocounting instrumentation, and yield improvement through accurate true wafer temperature measurement. The new LumaSense pyrometers for MOCVD processes (metalorganic vapour phase epitaxy) in LED Production, UV 400 and UVR 400, can also be combined with the well-proven PhotriX pyrometer with concentric lightpipe from LumaSense to additionally control the reactor temperature. Either the UV 400 and UVR 400 alone, or in combination with the PhotriX pyrometer, provide the best possible measuring data and process control solution, as well as the best product quality and improved yield.

The IN 6/78-L uses a 7.8 µm (micrometre) wavelength for temperature measurements between 400 °C and 1100 °C allowing for accurate and reliable measurement on glass with thickness below 1 mm.

This instrument sets new standards for stress-free glass production on manufacturing lines around the world. The sensor design is based on a full digital core for a wide temperature range and high accuracy. The small form factor and robust design allows for easy integration into the process, even in harsh environments. The IN 6/78-L is equipped with specially designed and coated high-end optics to reduce the effect of ambient reflectance and guarantee the best possible accuracy. The RS485-to-USB connection allows to connect the pyrometer to a PC and adjust the pyrometer parameters using the included InfraWin software. The software also provides temperature indication, data logging, and analysis features. When used in combination with the InfraWin software, the IN 6/78-L paints a more-accurate picture for identifying potential issues before they lead to problems that impact process performance.

The 100-MN press at SMK will be equipped with a new water-hydraulic control through Siempelkamp

Modernization is cheaper than new construction

In April already JSC „Stupino Metallurgical Company“ (SMK) placed an order with Siempelkamp to modernize the water-hydraulic control of a 100-MN press of Schloemann make as well as to provide for a corresponding new die heating system. Also for the modification of the water-hydraulic control of a 46-MN closed-die forging press into an open-die forging press SMK decided in favor of the machine builder as professional business partner located in Krefeld. Owing to this order Siempelkamp demonstrates its position as full-line supplier for press plants: mechanics, hydraulics and electrics are all from one source.

SMK is one of the leading manufacturer for products made of heat-resistant nickel alloys and special steels for the Russian aircraft industry: The Siempelkamp customer makes parts for gas turbine drives. For its location Stupino near Moscow SMK has been now projecting modernization and retrofit of existing plants: owing to the new Siempelkamp hydraulic systems the customer is able to provide for a more precise control of the presses maintaining the central water-hydraulic stations.

By means of the water-hydraulic control especially developed for the modernization of a 100-MN Schloemann press the moving crosshead can be positioned more precisely by up to rates of 0.15mm/sec. Additionally the parallelism of the moving crosshead is supported under all conditions of operation. The innovative Siempelkamp system is also beneficial for the following reason: special curves for speed and pressure of the press are programmed and subsequently stored for individual products. During the forging process a detailed report of the achieved values that are subsequently filed is given to the user.

Included in the modernization package of the 100-MN press are additionally the electric control and a die heating system. The latter one is completely integrated in the control keeping the die at a constant temperature of 900°C during the forging pause.

Through the modernization process repeatability, recording and filing of the actual forming procedure is ensured. In addition to that the production of work pieces made of granulated heat-resistant nickel alloys is enabled through the technology „HIP + forming“.

For the modification of a 46-MN closed-die forging press into an open-die forging press Siempelkamp will also supply a new water-hydraulic control as well as electric control for the plant of Stupino. The open-die forging press can subsequently make up to 60 strokes per minute. Additionally two rail-bound manipulators with rotary table will be integrated into the installation.

For both modifications in the field of water-hydraulic controls Siempelkamp relies on the cooperation with Hauhinco Maschinenfabrik G. Hausherr Jochums GmbH & Co. KG in Sprockhövel. Hauhinco is one of the leading system suppliers for water-hydraulic systems, high-pressure pumps, valves and industrial components. The expert successfully realized for instance the modernization of the water hydraulics of the 500-MN closed-die forging press at Alcoa Forging & Extrusions in Cleveland, the biggest press in the United States, in the year 2010.

Upon the signatures of the contract the Siempelkamp engineers directly started with the design works; commissioning of both presses are scheduled for the end of 2012. After completion of all works the presses at SMK will meet with the strict requirements of the aircraft industry. In fact these presses will turn to new presses – however at lower cost for project realization that for a new plant.
