SANTA CLARA (CA), Sep 12, 2017 – LumaSense Technologies, Inc., https://www.lumasenseinc.com/ , experts in gas measurement, introduces the Innova 1403 multipoint gas sampler and gas doser for air-exchange and flow analysis.

The bundled system solution includes the Innova 1403, the Innova 1412i Photoacoustic Gas Monitor, and 7650 Application Software. Two variations of the system solution are available: Innova 3750-2 Basic Ventilation System Dual Gas and Innova 3750-5 Basic Ventilation System Multi Gas (for up to 5 different gas compounds).

This ventilation solution is specifically designed to accurately dose tracer gas and quantify its distribution throughout the complex ventilation systems found in modern high energy efficiency buildings, rooms and workplace environments including offices, hospitals, and laboratories.

Ventilation Monitoring: The Innova 1403 can deliver either SF6 or R124a tracer-gas up to help measure the effectiveness of a ventilation system. The user sets up the sampler and the doser unit by
selecting up to 6 sample channels and 1 out of 3 doser channels.

In an air-exchange analysis system, the doser marks the supply air of the room with a known amount of tracer gas. The sampler system then takes a sample of the return-air from the room and delivers the sample to the 1412i for analysis. While the 1412i performs the analysis, the 1403 takes the next sample from the room. The 7560 software uses the tracer gas concentrations measured by the 1412i to calculate the ventilation system performance based on a few simple user inputs.

Trace gas, ventilation monitoring, photoacoustic analyser and monitoring, gas dosing system – the Innova 1403 is an integral part of a system approach to monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of ventilation systems often found in building materials, passenger cabins, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions, or extraction systems (such as fume hoods). In addition, quantifying air exchange rates and identifying the sources of indoor air pollutants for new green building designs allows for optimizing ventilation for worker health and productivity while maintaining energy efficiency.

Die Infrarotheizung ist ein indirektes Heizverfahren und simuliert Sonnenwärme, indem sie im Gegensatz zur herkömmlichen Konvektionsheizung nicht die Raumluft erwärmt, sondern alle Objekte auf die die Infrarotstrahlen treffen. Ähnlich einem Kachelofen, geben diese die gespeicherte Wärmeenergie dann gleichmäßig in den Raum ab und sorgen für ein konstantes Temperaturniveau.

Intelligent IT cuts off heating costs and curbs incidental rental costs:
The IT-based system EE2 of the Swedish-German company Ecofective continuously measures and stores all relevant data of a building’s thermal behavior. Based on these data, EE2 defines the optimal flow temperature of the heating system and prevents unnecessary energy consumption. Integration of EE2 into the existing heating system is easy, irrespective of manufacturer, age or type of energy such as gas, oil or district heating.

Fraunhofer IBP confirms that EE2 from Ecofective cuts heating costs significantly:
Comparative measurements by the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP confirm 13 percent less gas consumption from using the energy efficiency management system EE2. The institute has just published these findings in its IBP Report 523 .

20 percent less heating energy over the heating period is achievable:

LumaSense Technologies, Inc. adds the specialized IN 6/78-L to their IMPAC pyrometer portfolio for use in the production of thin and thinnest glass sheets ( http://www.lumasenseinc.com/EN/products/infrared-thermometers-and-switches/series-6/pyrometer-impac-in-6-78-l.html ). The IN 6/78-L uses a 7.8 µm (micrometre) wavelength for temperature measurements between 400 °C and 1100 °C allowing for accurate and reliable measurement on glass with thickness below 1 mm.

This instrument sets new standards for stress-free glass production on manufacturing lines around the world. The sensor design is based on a full digital core for a wide temperature range and high accuracy. The small form factor and robust design allows for easy integration into the process, even in harsh environments. The IN 6/78-L is equipped with specially designed and coated high-end optics to reduce the effect of ambient reflectance and guarantee the best possible accuracy. The RS485-to-USB connection allows to connect the pyrometer to a PC and adjust the pyrometer parameters using the included InfraWin software. The software also provides temperature indication, data logging, and analysis features. When used in combination with the InfraWin software, the IN 6/78-L paints a more-accurate picture for identifying potential issues before they lead to problems that impact process performance.

Santa Clara, California, March 14, 2012 – LumaSense Technologies, Inc. has introduced a new line of highly configurable thermal imaging cameras specifically designed for use in harsh environments ( http://www.lumasenseinc.com/EN/products/thermal-imagers-detectors-and-cores/stationary-thermal-imagers/stationary-thermal-imagers.html ). The MC320 line for infrared thermography features uniquely configured optics and detectors that enable the cameras to be tuned to specific infrared wavelengths and optimal performance to best suit a particular application. This flexibility means the MC320 platform is a cost-effective solution for a wide range of applications including process control, predictive maintenance, safety and critical vessel monitoring.

The majority of industrial thermal IR cameras on the market are long wave cameras operating in the 7-14 micron wavelengths, which are best suited to applications with lower temperatures and in environment without interference. Mid-wave cameras operating in the 3-7 micron spectrum are particularly effective for seeing through interference such as flames and also perform well when measuring the temperature of highly reflective materials such as glass and plastics, but historically have used exotic and expensive detector materials.

The new thermal imager platform MC320 for non-contact temperature measurement supports the widest range of mid-wave VOx based cameras available on the market today applying application specific wavelengths and temperature ranges. Each stationary thermal imager model is tuned to perform in the most demanding industrial applications providing the best sensitivity and thermal image quality (thermovision) available in this price range measuring on metal and ceramics, on non-metal surfaces, through flames and hot gases, and glass surfaces with typical applications in monitoring vessels and furnaces, rolling processes, rotary kilns, and quality monitoring in glass production.
