Live! G&D implements the broadcast feature for Tally Lights

Guntermann und Drunck GmbH will be giving the first presentation of the new GPIO function live and in action at the IBC 2017. It enables you to transmit relevant Tally Light information to a remote work station and to indicate the active „on air“ system.

G&D Matrix systems give several users access simultaneously on one and the same or on different computers in studios or OB vans. What about if the computer is „live“ on a programme and a producer is making undesired changes on this system? The big advantage – that the computers are externalised by KVM and various systems can be made flexibly accessible – has until now had one disadvantage: the on-air signal on the remote computer, typically in the form of a Tally Light, so additional technology and much expense was required to also show this at the workplace. So it was not only the distance that needed bridging, but the tally controller also needed to know on which computer the user was situated.

G&D has developed a specially customised function for such cases to transfer the GPIO status. The GPIO changer also makes technical installation easier. So tally switch states are transmitted from the computer via the KVM matrix and the information is made available to the user at the console. The connected „ON AIR“ light informs the producer when a computer is live on a programme.

Benefit: The Tally information (or any other GPIO information) is available to the user at any time when operating remote computers and switching to CPUs – and it is available before switching to a „live machine“ because the status is shown by a signal at the work station, as well as on the OSD and in the computer“s selection menu.

If several producers are working simultaneously on one system, the „on air“ signal ensures that they don“t make undesired changes on a live computer.

G&D will be presenting the GPIO changer and many other product innovations that allow you to link typical broadcast equipment with IT at IBC 2017, 15-19 September, hall 1, stand B10.

Strong expansion of the portfolio and computer access via IP structures

Strong expansion of the portfolio and computer access via IP structures

Strong expansion of the product portfolio and flexible computer access via IP structures: these are only two of the key points that await visitors to Guntermann & Drunck’s trade fair stand at the 2017 IBC, 15-19 September, hall 1, stand B10. The newest member of G&D“s KVM family is the IP transmission based KVM extender DP-Vision-IP. It allows great flexibility and overcomes the existing spatial restrictions on bridging distances.

The DisplayPort™ KVM extender system DP-Vision-IP consists of a computer module and a workstation module and facilitates the remote operation of a computer. DisplayPort 1.1a image data is processed pixel-perfect and with great hand-eye coordination. The maximum possible image resolution corresponds to a pixel rate of up to 300Mpixel/s. DP-Vision-IP supports DisplayPort 1.1. Video resolution of up to 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz or 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz. Transmission of compressed data is by CAT cabling via an IP based network on Layer 3 – and beyond network boundaries. Video, keyboard, mouse and control data are encrypted with AES-128.

The KVM-over-IP™ developed by G&D reveals the limits of dedicated cabling, because existing powerful IP infrastructures can be used with it. It can be combined with other G&D devices, enabling complex installations to be IP accessible.

The DP-Vision-IP System has a proven monitoring and SNMP function, which facilitates continual monitoring of device statuses and sends status notifications.

With DP-Vision-IP and many other product innovations G&D is responding to the trends in broadcasting. It offers the largest range of KVM systems available on the market. These and other powerful solutions will be presented by the trade fair team at the 2017 IBC, 15-19 September in hall 1, stand B10.

G&D KVM systems – High video resolutions and smart solutions for the next generation of broadcasting

G&D KVM systems - High video resolutions and smart solutions for the next generation of broadcasting

At IBC 2017, Guntermann and Drunck GmbH will again arrive with a suitcase full of new products to excite visitors with KVM solutions for the extension of high-resolution 4K and 8K video signals – pixel-perfect, latency-free and fail-safe. One of these next generation solutions is the KVM extender DP1.2-VisionXG, which transmits even 8K resolutions at 60 Hz – uncompressed, loss-less and without any latency.

The KVM system consists of a computer and a user module. Operators benefit from a pixel-perfect, uncompressed transmission of high-resolution DisplayPort videos over distances up to 10,000m. The device is available in variants with up to four video channels. Thanks to the source synchronicity of the video channels, even video resolutions up to 8K can be extended over long distances. The DP1.2-VisionXG uses optical fibres for the dedicated transmission of signals and therefore provides enough bandwidth for uncompressed, high-resolution DisplayPort 1.2 video signals, keyboard/mouse, RS232, USB2.0, and audio.

Switching 4K resolutions via matrix systems
Another highlight will be the demonstration of the new DP1.2-Vision extender generation, which is fully compatible with G&D“s digital matrix switches and allows the extension, switching and distribution of 4K video through these matrix systems. The KVM extender system provides pixel-perfect images and uses the in-house HDIP compression technology in the latest development stage, Level 3. This compression mode allows the loss-less transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60Hz. Thus, the systems require less bandwidth to transmit signals – but still provide crystal-clear images and latency-free operation.

InfoComm 2017 – it“s all about 4K and 8K

The world“s first and only KVM extender to transmit 8K video – made in Germany

InfoComm 2017 - it"s all about 4K and 8K

With a suitcase full of product innovations, this year again Guntermann & Drunck GmbH and its subsidiary G&D North America Inc. will travel to Orlando, FL to participate in InfoComm 2017, the largest annual conference for AV buyers and sellers in the Western Hemisphere. Visitors can expect various next-generation KVM solutions and the market“s broadest KVM product portfolio.

One of these smart solutions is the KVM extender DP1.2-VisionXG. The system of superlatives makes it possible to transmit 4K and 8K resolutions at a refresh rate of 60 Hz over large distances – uncompressed, loss-less and without any latency. The KVM extender system consists of a computer module and a user module. It allows users to operate their computers remotely while benefitting from the pixel-perfect, uncompressed transmission of high-resolution DisplayPort videos over distances up to 10,000m. The device is available in variants with up to four video channels. Thanks to the source synchronicity of the video channels, even extremely high video resolutions such as 4K and 8K can be extended over long distances.

Pixel-perfect and latency-free
The DP1.2-VisionXG uses optical fibers for the dedicated transmission. Thus, the system provides enough bandwidth for uncompressed, high-resolution DisplayPort 1.2 video signals, keyboard/mouse, RS232, USB2.0, and audio.

With a network port, an intuitive web interface, monitoring, syslog, SNMP, screen freeze function and a redundant power supply, the DP1.2-VisionXG offers numerous features for mission-critical applications.

Loss-less and pixel-prefect transmission even for compressing KVM systems
At InfoComm 2017, G&D will also introduce the KVM extender DP1.2-Vision, which uses the in-house HDIP compression technology in the latest development stage, Level 3. This compression mode allows the loss-less transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60Hz. Thus, the systems require less bandwidth to transmit signals – but still provide clear and visually lossless images and a latency-free operation. The DP1.2-Vision supports the transmission of DisplayPort1.2 signals, which takes place either via CAT cables over distances up to 140 m or via optical fibres to 10,000 m.

Switching 4K resolutions via matrix systems
The advantage of a lower bandwidth and a compressed image transmission: Video signals can be better processed and switched. Thus, the KVM extender DP1.2-Vision can be combined with a matrix application and 4K signals can be distributed by matrix systems. KVM matrix systems allow the independent and remote operation of multiple computers over multiple, simultaneous consoles.
Even with different features, all G&D products are compatible and can be combined. Thus, the KVM extender DP1.2-Vision can easily be integrated into G&D matrix systems such as the ControlCenter-Compact or the ControlCenter-Digital, which allows the extension and switching of 4K at 60 Hz through the matrix.

Versatile functions for flexible operation
G&D matrix systems feature a range of mission-critical and user-friendly features, such as CrossDisplay-Switching, the push-get function and scenario switching to make the work of the all users as efficient and as comfortable as possible.

Unlimited access with KVM-over-IP™
The latest member of the G&D KVM family is the DP-Vision-IP, a KVM extender based on IP structures.

The system supports DisplayPort video resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz or 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz. Combinations with other G&D systems are also possible thus allowing complex installations with worldwide access. With the DP-Vision-IP, G&D are significantly expanding their portfolio and currently offer the broadest range of KVM systems available on the market.

With these powerful expansions to their portfolio G&D introduces their answer to the calls for 4K equipment and provide a large selection of powerful solutions. These and other applications will be presented at InfoComm 2017, booth 2580 in Orlando. The G&D team look forward to advising customers and interested parties on high-performance KVM solutions.

Smart KVM solutions for industrial applications

At HMI 2017, G&D will present their broad KVM portfolio for industrial control rooms

Smart KVM solutions for industrial applications

ControlCenter-Compact 80: High flexibility through remote access to all computers.

From 24 April to 28 April 2017, at Hannover Messe, Hall 11, booth D56, G&D will showcase a range of KVM solutions especially designed for industrial applications such as process control stations or control rooms. KVM products enable the spatial separation between computers and operators. This way, computers can be moved into a separate equipment room from where they can be operated from a distance – in real-time, latency-free and without image losses.

KVM extender systems consist of a computer module and a user module and extend computer signals. The latency-free data transmission between computers and control rooms or operators is carried out over a dedicated connection via CAT cable or optical fibre. KVM extenders extend computer signals up to 140 m over CAT cables or up to 10,000 m over optical fibres. When transmitting via optical fibres, there is a galvanic isolation between the transmitter and the receiver module, which makes the devices insensitive to interference radiation. Due to their robust design, time and again, the systems have proven their worth in harsh industrial environments.

DP1.2-VisionXG – latency-free data transmission of high-resolution video up to 8K
A highlight on the G&D stand will be the presentation of the DP1.2-VisionXG, a powerful system that extends signals via fibre optics. It uses uncompressed data transmission and supports extremely high video resolutions up to 4K and 8K with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The system includes many user-friendly and mission-critical features such as the screen-freeze function, the monitoring function, a redundant power supply, SNMP and two network ports. The screen-freeze function is a safety feature, which, in case of an issue, „freezes“ the image last displayed on the monitor. This state is highlighted by a red semi-transparent frame. Meanwhile, the current time and the downtime of the video signal is displayed.

The continuous monitoring of the G&D device status ensures a long life cycle for the equipment. If defined states (for example ON / OFF) are changed or defined threshold values (for example, temperature) are exceeded, a corresponding documentation is generated in the web interface and the administrator can be notified via SNMP.

ControlCenter-Compact – high performance in compact form.
Industrial control rooms and process monitoring are characterized by a distributed and heterogeneous computer landscape. Often, several sources must be monitored at the same time. The use of a KVM matrix, e.g. the ControlCenter-Compact, improves the IT infrastructure and harmonizes spatially distributed installations, which can bridge distances up to 10,000m thanks to different transmission media (CAT or fibre). KVM matrix systems switch and distribute computer signals and are used whenever several computers have to be operated remotely via different, simultaneous workstations. The ControlCenter-Compact is available in six expansion levels providing between 8 and 80 dynamic ports and is compatible with both the DVICenter and the ControlCenter-Digital as well as all end devices, which makes it possible to add new systems to existing infrastructures. Special end components make it possible to operate multi-monitor workstations adding to the usability, as control room staff have to monitor several processes and programs running on different computers.

Versatile functions for flexible and user-friendly operation
On the G&D stand at Hannover Messe, one of the highlights will be the ControlCenter-Compact with both its wide range of functions and its simple and intuitive operation. It features a range of mission-critical and user-friendly features, such as CrossDisplay-Switching, the push-get function and scenario switching to make the work of the control room staff as efficient as possible. The integrated CrossDisplay-Switching is extremely useful for multi-monitor workstations. Here, users are able to swicth between channels simply by moving the mouse. The mouse acts as if on a „virtual desktop“ and can be moved seamlessly across the connected displays. When moving the cursor from the active to an inactive display, the keyboard-mouse focus automatically switches to the connected computer. This way, for users it feels like working on a virtual desktop.

The push-get function, which is available for all digital matrix switches, is also ideal for the cooperation of several operators in industrial control rooms. With the Push-Get function, users can move the screen contents of a target to (push) – or get it from – the display of another console. This display can be a large screen projection, for example. By using this function, operators can work together on solving issues..

Switching between day and night shift often also requires the operation and monitoring of different computer constellations. Scenario switching makes it possible to store predefined setups of switching conditions (e.g. day/night scenario). The selected switching states are saved in a script in the matrix system and can be accessed and executed via the OSD of workplaces assigned with the required rights.

The difference lies in the detail
In addition to simple, intuitive operation, G&D places particular emphasis on add-on products especially tailored to the industry. For example, the HK-Controller lets you use individual buttons or pushbuttons to transmit commands or shortcuts. Industrial-suited mounting sets for rack, table and rail mounting simplify the installation.

G&D have been dedicated to KVM for more than 30 years. At Hannover Messe, customers and interested parties will be able to discuss their individual IT solution with a team of KVM experts, 24 – 28 April, 2017 in Hall 11, Stand D56.

See you in Las Vegas with a special focus on 4K

G&D presents the broadest KVM portfolio on the market

See you in Las Vegas with a special focus on 4K

The new KVM extension DP1.2-Vision-XG extends computer signals up to 10,000m via fiber optics.

The annual NAB Show in Las Vegas is a thriving meeting place for all US broadcasters and digital media professionals. For many years now, Guntermann & Drunck GmbH has been a strong partner for the broadcast industry and shows great commitment to this sector. This year, the US subsidiary of the German KVM manufacturer will again be at the show to present the broadest portfolio of the entire KVM market. G&D“s stand will be dedicated to 4K. Here, a range of KVM systems, which are capable of extending and switching 4K video signals even over long distances – pixel-perfect, loss-less and without latency – will be presented.

Uncompressed transmission of 4K and 8K over distances up to 10,000 m
The DisplayPort KVM extender system DP1.2-VisionXG consists of a computer module (transmitter) and a user module (receiver) and extends computer signals via fiber optics over distances up to 10,0000m. For the perfect hand eye coordination, the transmission of high-resolution DisplayPort video signals is uncompressed, pixel perfect and lossless. The dedicated transmission via optical fibers offers sufficient bandwidth for an uncompressed and pixel-perfect transmission of 4K and 8K videos at 60Hz as well as for keyboard/mouse, RS232, USB2.0, and audio signals. The system includes many user-friendly and mission-critical features such as the screen-freeze function, the monitoring function, a redundant power supply, SNMP, and two network ports.

Loss-less transmission even for compressing systems
Another highlight at G&D“s stand in Las Vegas will be the presentation of compressing systems, which now include G&D“s improved, in-house HDIP compression technology in the latest development stage, Level 3. This compression mode allows the loss-less transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60Hz. The KVM extender DP-Vision1.2 already uses the advantages of this new compression mode for the extension of computer signals either via fiber optics up to 10,000 m or via CAT cables up to 140 m.

Switching 4K video signals via matrix systems
It is even more exciting when it comes to extending computer signals not only as a point-to-point connection, but when these signals are also switched and distributed – or in other words, when several computers are to be operated remotely via different, simultaneous workstations. Following G&D“s principle of mix & match, all products as well as their variants are compatible and can be combined with each other. The KVM extender DP1.2-Vision can easily be integrated into G&D matrix systems such as the ControlCenter-Compact or the ControlCenter-Digital, which allows the extension and switching of 4K at 60 Hz through the matrix.

Unlimited access with KVM-over-IP™
Based on IP structures, the new KVM extender DP-Vision-IP complements G&D“s portfolio and breaks any limitations of bridging distances that existed so far.

Various broadcasting companies and TV stations in the US already rely on quality „made in Germany“ products from G&D. The exhibition team will present all above-mentioned systems at NAB show booth N5624, 24-27 April, 2017.

First-class combination of quality, functionality and consulting

First-class combination of quality, functionality and consulting

When broadcasters choose new technical equipment, they don“t just consider the technical parameters of a product. It is rather the interplay of quality, functionality and technical consulting that provide the decisive impulse for solving complex challenges. For decades, the Guntermann & Drunck GmbH has been extremely successful with focusing on these aspects – only one of the reasons why the company is the leading manufacturer of KVM products for broadcast applications around the world.

Uncompressed transmission of 4K and 8K over distances up to 10,000 m
The DP1.2-VisionXG is a KVM extender of superlatives, which allows uncompressed and latency-free transmission of 4K and 8K video at 60Hz. The KVM extender system consists of a computer module and a user module. It allows users to operate their computers remotely while benefitting from the pixel-perfect, uncompressed transmission of high-resolution DisplayPort video over distances of up to 10,000m. This ensures a perfect hand-eye coordination and best video quality. Dedicated transmission takes place over fibre optics to provide sufficient bandwidth for uncompressed DisplayPort 1.2 signals, video, keyboard/mouse, RS232, USB 2.0 and audio. The system includes many user-friendly and mission-critical features such as the screen-freeze function, the monitoring function, a redundant power supply, SNMP and two network ports.

Loss-free transmission even for compressing systems
Another highlight at the G&D stand will be the presentation of compressing systems, which now include G&D“s improved, in-house HDIP compression technology in the latest development stage, Level 3. This compression mode allows the loss-free transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60Hz. The KVM extender DP-Vision1.2 already uses the advantages of this new compression mode for the extension of computer signals either via fibre optics up to 10,000 m or via CAT cables up to 140 m.

Switching 4K via matrix
The scenario becomes even more exciting when it comes to extending computer signals not only as a point-to-point connection, but when these signals are also switched and distributed – or in other words, when several computers are to be operated remotely via different, simultaneous workstations. The ControlCenter-Compact is available in six expansion levels providing between 8 and 80 dynamic ports, which can be used either as input or as output. The device is compatible with both the DVICenter and the ControlCenter-Digital as well as all end devices, which makes it possible to add new systems to existing infrastructures.

G&D“s matrix switches include many useful and helpful functionalities such as CrossDisplay-Switching and scenario switching. The KVM Matrix-Grid™ further enhances the possibilities of interconnecting distributed IT structures. At different locations different matrix systems can be integrated into a system, resulting in a large, virtual, reliable matrix system, which can be expanded flexibly. Another useful feature – the monitoring function – allows administrators to monitor and maintain both computer modules and user modules as well as the central matrix.
Trade fair visitors can look forward to experiencing this and many other features as the most important addition to pure technical specifications.

Unlimited access with KVM-over-IP™
Based on IP structures, the new KVM extender DP-Vision-IP complements G&D“s portfolio and breaks any spatial limitations that existed so far.

G&D KVM systems help create user-friendly, ergonomic and efficient workstations without any computers and free from noise and heat emissions. These ideal working conditions make both humans and computers more productive. G&D introduces KVM extender of a completely different league

DP1.2.-VisionXG – the world“s first and only KVM extender to transmit 8K video

G&D introduces KVM extender of a completely different league

KVM extender DP1.2-VisionXG-MC4 for perfect video transmission, pixel by pixel up to 8K at 60 Hz.

Guntermann & Drunck GmbH can claim another superlative in the KVM industry: the DP1.2-VisionXG-MC4, the world’s first and only KVM extender for uncompressed, latency-free transmission of 8K video at 60Hz. The high-class KVM extender system consists of a computer module and a user module. It allows users to operate their computers remotely while benefitting from the pixel-perfect, uncompressed transmission of high-resolution DisplayPort video over four video channels and distances of up to 10,000m. Thanks to the source synchronicity of the video channels, even the highest video resolutions can be extended over long distances. This fact is especially interesting since DisplayPort cables for transmitting high resolutions are usually extremely short.

The dedicated transmission over optical fibres provides enough bandwidth for uncompressed DisplayPort 1.2 video signals, keyboard/mouse, RS232, USB2.0 and audio.

The system includes many mission-critical features such as the screen-freeze function, the monitoring function, a redundant power supply, SNMP and two network ports.

With the future-oriented additions to their product portfolio such as KVM-over-IP™, among other things, G&D show their customers how to use powerful KVM systems to get the maximum out of their installations.

DP1.2-MUX3-ATC for the optimisation of high-performance ATC workplaces

Brand new KVM Switch from G&D – when ultra-fast switching is needed for even more safety

DP1.2-MUX3-ATC for the optimisation of high-performance ATC workplaces

The KVM Switch DP1.2-MUX3-ATC facilitates extremely fast switching between computers.

G&D is presenting another new product – the new DP1.2-MUX3-ATC. Via the KVM switch, ATCOs can operate up to three computers from one workspace (e.g. primary, redundancy and fall-back systems). The high-performance system supports 4K resolution at 60Hz and avoids the short image disturbances usually found at these resolutions when switching. The switcher is especially designed for the demands of ATC – 100% secure round-the-clock operation at top performance.

Compression-free, pixel-perfect, latency-free and loss-free
The new KVM Switch shows its strengths in ATC redundancy concepts. The compression-free system facilitates extremely fast switching. Redundancy and fall-back systems can easily be set up to run parallel to the primary system. In the case of computer malfunction, the user can switch to a redundancy system at the touch of a button – within a fraction of a second. As well as system security, the redundant system also offers the additional benefit that technicians can carry out administration and maintenance in the background without disrupting the work of the ATCO on the primary system. In combination with a KVM extender, the computer signals can be extended, so that pilot computers are blocked locally and operated remotely. Control rooms then enjoy optimal working conditions, without noise or heat emissions.

Mission-critical features for more safety
Especially designed for air traffic control, the KVM Switch boasts mission-critical features such as SNMP and monitoring for the active health management of system components, as well as redundant power supply. The user-friendly screen-freeze function holds its own in the case of a signal disruption. This feature „freezes“ the last received image in case the video signal fails. A semi-transparent red frame signifies this status. This means that the ATCO isn“t left looking at a black screen in case of emergency, rather has access to static information and a timer. Security concepts for automatic switching and external activation concepts are also available. These allow the system to be linked to further concepts to guarantee absolute reliability.

KVM: powerful partner to the ATC industry

Systems from G&D serve as an invisible wingman – powerful and efficient

KVM: powerful partner to the ATC industry

KVM extender DP1.2-VisionXG-MC4 for perfect video transmission, pixel by pixel up to 8K at 60 Hz.

Hardly any control room application is as sensitive as air traffic control. For their responsible tasks air traffic controllers rely on computer-assisted structures in the background. These systems, however, must be 100% safe, robust and designed for around-the-clock operation. KVM technology has become an integral part of IT infrastructures. It extends and switches computer signals thus allowing the remote operation of computer technology or the real-time access to several computers. Over the last decades, the German KVM manufacturer Guntermann & Drunck GmbH has always put a special focus on ATC applications. The long-standing cooperation with many well-known ANSPs resulted in the development of many KVM products and features specifically tailored to the requirements of the ATC industry – with uncompressed or compressed data transmission at full performance and best video resolutions up to 4K @ 60 Hz and even 8K @ 60 Hz.

DP1.2-VisionXG – an extender system of superlatives
The KVM extender DP1.2-VisionXG extends computer signals via optical fibres at a distance of up to 10,000 m and provides uncompressed, loss-free and latency-free data transfer – pixel by pixel for best hand-eye coordination. The dedicated transmission via optical fibres offers sufficient bandwidth for the uncompressed and pixel-perfect transmission of 4K and 8K videos at 60Hz as well as for keyboard/mouse, RS232, USB2.0 and audio signals.

With a high-resolution 4K screen, the workstation can be configured to have a single large monitor that displays multiple ATC applications in different image segments. Thus controllers can concentrate on a single contiguous area and are not distracted by visible monitor frames. Even high-resolution 8K applications are displayed via four video channels – without any loss or latency. Thanks to the source synchronicity of the video channels, even highest video resolutions can be extended over long distances. The high-performance system is reliable and best suitable for 24/7 operation – also due to its redundant power supply. Mission-critical features such as the screen-freeze function, the monitoring function, SNMP and two network interfaces support technicians and ATCOs in their work.

Recording images for air traffic control: Authentic data due to uncompressed transmission
Like all KVM extenders from G&D, the CPU module of the new DP1.2-VisionXG provides an interface to connect a local workstation, which can be used to record images required for the documentation of air traffic. This also provides legal certainty in case of doubt. Since the images are not compressed when transmitted, the image data transmitted to the workstation corresponds exactly to what is recorded on the computer – the recording therefore also exactly matches the information of the controller.

DP1.2-MUX3-ATC – when ultrafast switching is required
G&D will present another new product at the World ATM Congress 2016 – the new DP1.2-MUX3-ATC. The KVM switch lets ATCOs operate up to three computers from one workstation (e.g. primary, redundancy and fallback system). The compression-free system allows extremely fast switching between computers. On top of this, it is possible to install redundancy and fallback systems running parallel to the primary system. The high-performance system supports 4K solutions at 60 Hz and is especially designed to cater to the needs of the ATC industry, meaning it provides reliable 24/7 operation at full performance.

A variety of 4K devices
Thanks to the cooperation with many international ANSPs and their close connection to the market, G&D“s portfolio includes a whole range of 4K products, such as the KVM switches DP1.2-MUX, DP-MUX and DL-MUX or the extender systems DP1.2-VisonXG, DL-Vision and DP1.2-Vision. The latter uses the improved, in-house HDIP compression technology in the latest development stage, Level 3. This compression mode allows the loss-free transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60Hz. DP1.2-Vision is fully compatible with digital matrix switches such as the ControlCenter-Digital and the new ControlCenter-Compact, allowing not only the extension, but also the distributed switching of 4K video by matrix switches and is therefore the ideal solution for the remote operation of multiple computers via various, simultaneous workstations. Following G&D“s principle of mix & match, all products as well as their variants are compatible and can be combined with each other.

The new ControlCenter-Compact is available in six expansion levels providing between 8 and 80 dynamic ports, which can be used either as input or as output interfaces. The matrix switch transmits signals either via CAT cables or optical fibres. Mixing these cable types is possible. too. The device is compatible with both the DVICenter and the ControlCenter-Digital as well as all end devices, which makes it possible to add new systems to existing infrastructures. A number of user-friendly features for ATCOs round off the matrix system: e.g. the intuitive CrossDisplay-Switching, scenario switching or the push-get function for the integration of video walls, as well as security-relevant functionalities such as monitoring and SNMP. These functions make it much easier for admins to maintain and monitor the devices.

With G&D’s high-performance KVM systems, computers can easily be moved out of towers and control rooms and security-relevant concepts can be established. Disturbances such as developing noise and waste heat are banished from the immediate work environment. At the same time, ATCOs benefit from more space, efficiency and a clearly-arranged workplace while technicians are able to administrate the system from the server room instead of having to disturb the ATCOs in their important tasks.

Unlimited access with KVM-over-IP™
Based on IP structures, the new KVM extender DP-Vision-IP complements G&D“s portfolio and breaks any spatial limitations that existed so far. The system supports DisplayPort video resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz or 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz.Combinations with other G&D systems are also possible thus allowing complex installations with worldwide access.

The long-term commitment of to the ATC sector puts the company in a position to develop the best possible products and functionalities specifically for ANSPs. G&D currently offers the broadest KVM portfolio on the market – also thanks to the new IP systems. Within this portfolio, there are almost no limits of combining the systems.
