INSYS icom extends temperature range for industrial routers and fault monitors

The new, extended temperature ranges for INSYS icom’s EBW, IMO, and MoRoS lines

INSYS icom, leading technology partner for industrial data communication and M2M technology, has extended the standard temperature specifications for their EBW, IMO, and MoRoS series and added a so-called „restricted range“ on top of that. Based on new tests, the routers and fault monitors are suitable for continuous operation at ambient temperatures from -30 to +70 °C, depending on the model. Additionally, the new restricted range allows for operation at temperatures up to 15 °C above the maximum for some models (see table) and under certain conditions. These specifications apply for instance to applications without continuous data transfer. „When the maximum temperature is reached, our devices will not be damaged in any case“, says Wolfgang Wanner, head of marketing at INSYS MICROELECTRONICS. „This is ensured by our sophisticated technology that will restrict functionalities to protect the internal electronics.“ Further information about the restricted range and the devices is available at http://www.insys-icom.com/restricted.
